Tether Control

This customer required a plastic injection molded handle unit to provide tethered operation control of heavy equipment. TECH, INC. designed the product and created stereolithography( SLA ) parts of the housing. The SLA parts were used to make RTV molded samples. TECH also provided files for creation of the injection molds. This unit is currently in production and being sold worldwide.


Ladder Steps

LadderThe customer required multiple steps and a paint tray made entirely of plastic for their ladders. The steps needed to pass an ASTM weight test requiring them to support 800 pounds in three different locations. TECH, INC. designed the parts using Pro/Engineer. The part's ribs were optimized to reduce weight and maintain the required stiffness and strength. This was checked and proven with Finite Element Analysis. Stereolithography parts were created from the solid model to check functionality and communicate actual sizes and shapes.

Molded parts tested above a 1,200 pound ASTM weight test and are currently in production. The ladders are being sold nationwide.
